OSU's Business & Finance and Cranbrook Elementary School have joined efforts for the "Partners In Education" initiative. This partnership will focus on sustainability and "going green". An assembly was held on February 13, 2009
as a way to celebrate. Over the next several months, Business Operations will be working on environmentally friendly projects with the students. To kick-off the partnership, students received plantable paper Valentines at the assembly that will grow into wildflowers, demonstrating the ability to reuse and reduce materials. - The Bureau of Services for the Visually Impaired (BSVI) has been incorporated into the university's vending program, with the goal of diversifying the supplier base and providing meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with visual impairments. As of December 1, 2008, 54 food, snack and hot beverage machines at 22 buildings across campus will be serviced by BSVI.
